Hello!
Saturday, a friend and i went to a spa feast in Berkeley Springs and had a fabulous time! The cost was $2.00 admission and there were lots of give aways once inside. Several vendors were set up from different spas from that area and all prices were $1.00 per minute for a massage. I had several 10 minute massages. Lectures/discussions were included in the admission price also. I especially liked the one on holistic dog care. After the massage (i loved the reflexology) we had to try out the natural hot springs which makes Berkeley Springs special in the first place!! We split the costs of a 30 minute soak and came away feeling so very relaxed! We had a discount coupon from the spa feast and were able to get a soak in the roman tubs for about $11.00 each. The young man at the counter where we paid gave us a few minutes extra also....because we were so nice he said. We had lunch at a local place called Tari's. I am a definite locavore! They offered a healthy soup ( i swear that was the name) and of course I HAD to try it being the health nut i am...it was great and only $1.00!! It consisted of chicken stock, rice, beans and spinach. I also had a salmon wrap that was equally good at a cost of $9.00. The great tasting water was free. A stop at Dairy Queen on the drive home made the day complete. Cannot have a girls road trip without DQ!! Total costs of the trip and all the fun: $100.00 and that includes fuel. Needless to say i slept like a baby from being pampered all day! It is a definite trip to put on my calendar for next year...adorable and quaint town!
